libraw1394 is written to use it. Kino uses libraw1394; it does not access the kernel directly. Please describe in what way DV capture is broken. Also please attach the output of dmesg that contains messages from firewire.ohci and firewire-core - from when the OHCI-1394 host controller is initialized, - from when the camcorder is plugged in/ switched on, - from when Kino is started. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801806 Title: It appears that Natty removed most of the raw 1394 support in favor of firewire_core. This broke most dv capture setups in existence. Someone needs to readd raw1394 and ohci1394 kernel modules to ubuntu natty. please tell your security guys who are humping firewire_core to stop being retarded.
