I'd also appreciate an option to change the default umask. KDE 4.6 uses udisks to (auto)mount external storage devices and if I want to share a directory on such device using samba, the directory is inaccessible from the rest of my network because the default umask is 077. I need to run manually:
udisks --mount /dev/sdb1 --mount-options umask=022 everytime I plug in my external hard drive and it's really annoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/682589 Title: [Feature Request] Changing the default options for a filesystem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udisks/+bug/682589/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
