If I boot windows first then do a warm restart to Ubuntu then the sound card works great in Ubuntu. If however I do a cold boot into Ubuntu the sound card outputs only white noise. I would really like move away from MS Windows but until the sound can be made to work properly I need windows to boot first. What a shame.
