I am not sure what it is that I should do. I downloaded and ran the alsa-info.sh script and have attached it. I have spent many hours looking for a solution to this problem. I have found many other queries about this same problem but have found no solutions other that the one mentioned at http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Vendor- Creative_Labs for the Sound Blaster 5.1 VX ca0106.
