Here is the alsa-info.txt file.

I reloaded 10.04 yesterday after making the initial bug report. All the things 
I tried eventually messed up the system.
The alsa-info.txt upload was made after the system was reloaded. The problem is 
still very loud White noise when booting to Ubuntu 10.04 from a power off 
state. If windows is booted first, followed by a warm boot to Ubuntu 10.04 then 
the sound works perfectly.
