Public bug reported:

Clean install of natty in virtualbox (win vista host).

Upgraded to Oneiric. When I restarted I landed in Unity-2d (since I
don't have 3d in virtualbox). However, the panel contains only network
manager - no session, no time, no calendar, nothing. Makes it very hard
to log out, etc.

This might be a libindicator bug, but not sure so I'm filing it against
unity-2d for now.
