Following the user gatman3 tip (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=10977811&postcount=4) have switched to 32-bit of Ubuntu 11.04 on my Thinkpad W520 and wonder oh wonder - everything is working to the very satisfactory level, see first impression here http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=11004403&postcount=7. Now I am not quite happy to run 32-bit system on the "fastest laptop of the world", is like driving with handbrake on. Since I am paying for Ubuntu Advantage Advance Desktop - 3 Year support (anywhere else around paying for Linux support?) I will see if I can manage to get the developers attention to focus on fixing the issue with 64-bit version.
