To be more precise, the last log entry before the freeze was a good five
minutes earlier. I wouldn't hold my breath for more information on this,
unfortunately.

I've attached kern.log.1 - ca. 10:09 on July 2nd is when I reboot after
the first of the above mentioned freezes. My machine reboots within
seconds, quite literally - so when the kernel log starts at 10:09, you
can see that last log entry before the freeze was a good 6-7 minutes
earlier, long before the freeze.
