tried to type in the comment field (and is still in that field if I go
back in my browser history):

Since downstream isn't chomping at the bit to test this, I'm going to go
ahead and ask for review now. I've at least confirmed with objdump that
the .text sections are now marked with 4-byte alignment. Since it
doesn't change the generated code at all, this is relatively low-risk,
and it'd be nice to get it in before the next train leaves.
