Public bug reported:
I was unable to get the microphone on a headset working in skype.
The computer speakers were directly connected to the soundcard.
The headset was connected by the headphone sockets in multiple terminal port at
the front of the computer.
[The sort of terminal port that will accept camera memory, a usb connection
etc].
After fiddling about for some time and also a lot of internet searching I
connected the headset into the soundcard at the back of the pc.
Hey presto, the microphone works fine!
I seem to recall seeing that there are problems with webcam sound and
feisty?
Is the problem that sound capture via usb is not functioning correctly?
I am a babe when it comes to using Linux having escaped from Windups 4 months
ago.
I apologise in advance to whoever might read this if as I suspect it is put in
the wrong place.
By the way this problem occurred in a fresh install of Feisty downloaded
on the 21st April
