After recent updates, rebooted and typed fast about 60 random lines with gedit, no logout, no tty respawn messages in syslog. Also tested after resume from hibernation in case that's relevant. But since former positive experience now rather sceptical will test again tomorrow after restart and report back. lightdm 0.4.2-0ubuntu1
