Ok, a new version of the patch has been produced by Takashi. This time it should always turn 0x1b and 0x1d on and keep it on.
I have also updated http://people.canonical.com/~diwic/temp/alsa-hda-dkms-acer3830tg_0.1_all.deb to include this patch instead. Please test it (according to previous instructions: 1) no other workarounds installed, 2) download, 3) install, 4) reboot and 5) test) and report the result. Thank you! ** Patch added: "eapd-always-on.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/783582/+attachment/2194882/+files/eapd-always-on.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783582 Title: [Aspire 3830TG, Conexant ID 506c, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/783582/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
