I could not reproduce this, I start typing after I launch software center, and
when the app comes up and the search field shows the characters I have typed
and 0 results. Could you please start software-center from a terminal by
running software-center and see whether that shows some stacktrace to be able
to investigate and fix the problem? Thank you.
