I think this bug is not exactly a duplicate of #754569. The latter, in
fact, refers to the ability of using 2-step authentication, this is
related to the ability to use the application-specific password feature
which is a fallback method to be used with legacy applications not
supporting 2-step authentication (such as empathy in this case)
