I don't think I can.   now the install is dead. all there is on the
reboot is a blank screen, with a blinking cursor. no commands work.
nothing. been having 11.04 install problem with nvidia built in
graphics.  'cups' did show up on other attempts as failing, along with
some other process, when I looked it up it seemed it was related to a
printing problem which seemed to have nothing to do with the nvidia
graphics problem.

this last attempt I thought all was well, did some updates and got this
error message and it said report it so I did, then when I rebooted, the
entire install seems dead.

HERE is a log of PRIOR problems with cups I had posted on a user forum.
had several attempts to get cus and foo2zjs resolved and nothing would
work from several attempts to d/l updates or anything for them:

Subject: [Bug 808372] Re: package cups 1.4.6-5ubuntu1.3 failed to
install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error
exit status 127

John,

please copy&paste the following commands into a terminal:

  cd /tmp/
  wget http://people.canonical.com/~pitti/tmp/cups.upstart.debug
  sudo cp /etc/init/cups.conf /etc/init/cups.conf.orig
  sudo cp cups.upstart.debug /etc/init/cups.conf
  sudo start cups

Please check that the third command still gives a failure message. After
that, attach /tmp/log to this bug report.

Thanks!
