I can confirm this on Firefox 8.0a1 and 5.0, the slider does not contain any
images (although the links are present, as hovering over reveals the url in the
statusbar), and switching between the sections does not work (Mac,
Applications, Accessories, Server sections on the bottom of the slider). All
these work on Chromium.
