I want to confirm this bug.
I tried to install feisty-final off the alternate-i386-cd and the
installer stopped with an error when installing grub. On another console
i saw the following error:

grub-installer: info: Installing grub on '(hd0)'
...
/dev/sdas1 does not have any corresponding BIOS drive
---------------
in breezy, dapper & edgy (which all installed fine on the same computer)
the PATA-disc i want to boot off (and i installed to) was /dev/hda now
it's /dev/sda...
