Found the root of the problem: xdg-open calls gvfs-open. In Terminal, I typed in 'gvfs-open trash:///'. Again, EOG got started.
Digging further, I found clues on internet about associations for gfvs, especially file $HOME/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list which had following lines in it: [Added Associations] text/x-tex=gedit.desktop; inode/directory=eog.desktop; [Default Applications] trash=examples.desktop trash:///=examples.desktop I swear that I did not change anything like this! ;-) (Is this related to Bug #797000?) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780187 Title: Trash: Wrong Program Association To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/780187/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
