I applied the patch from
https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/118834/
manually for the kernel 2.6.39.3
Linux mew 2.6.39.3-candela #1 SMP Thu Jul 14 17:53:16 CEST 2011
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
and attached the working psmouse.ko with tapping and vertical scrolling.
If anyone can tell me which option in the patch is responsible for
disabling the tapping function please let me know, maybe I want to
disable that too.
