Fresh install of 11.04 today. Initially i set the time and date options using indicator-datetime-preferences, like i normally would. Later i noticed i wanted to change something through the GUI, but couldn't. Attempting to start it from the terminal results in:
(indicator-datetime-preferences:18310): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. Killing the process from the terminal, and then attempting to restart it through the GUI worked fine, and has worked fine several subsequent tries. Also starting it from the terminal (as non-root user) works fine after killing it first.
