The upgrade log attached to this bug report shows that you have removed
grub2, installed by default on your system, in favor of grub1 without
configuring it. This is not a bug in the package. It is recommended
that you reinstall grub2, which has actually been configured for use on
your system, by running this command in a terminal:
sudo apt-get install grub-pc
