Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sorry for the delay in
response. This was done to ensure that people would have an up to date,
free, flash rendering engine. Unfortunately, swfdec was unmaintained
and removed from both distributions. I would suggest trying to get the
missing functionality into gnash which we can then try to SRU into the
stable releases. Please report any other issues you may find.
