New information: Thunderbird fails to work w/ LDAP users 1) Create a local user w/ a given UID, GID, and HOME_DIR, w/ contents from /etc/skel/: works 2) Delete local user 3) Create an LDAP user w/ same UID, GID, and HOME_DIR, w/ contents from /etc/skel/: DOES NOT WORK
NOTE: HOME_DIR is a local directory that is not NFS-mounted. I have verified this on two separate hosts.
