"Setting screen physical size to 508 x 285" in Xorg.0.log That is 20.5" x 11", which doesn't seem that weird to me, assuming you have a widescreen display.
(II) RADEON(0): Max Image Size [cm]: horiz.: 52 vert.: 29 It appears to be detecting this size and the resolution properly. If you think these numbers are incorrect, it could be a bug in the kernel's KMS code, and so should file a bug there. In any case, even if they're incorrect this wouldn't cause a black screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/809192 Title: Screen is dark after Update on r600 4290HD To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/809192/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
