Volume control is OK with the oldest drivers from alsa-driver, but there
is no recording support.
Recording works fine with the backported drivers, but the master volume
control does not scale right. Moving the volume bar by a few pixels
makes the volume jump from silence to 100%, instead of smoothly scaling
from 0 to 100.
