Okay, this is rather weird:

$ indicator-datetime-preferences
The program 'indicator-datetime-preferences' is currently not installed. You
can install it by typing:
sudo apt-get install indicator-datetime
$ sudo apt-get install indicator-datetime
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
indicator-datetime is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
$ indicator-datetime-preferences
The program 'indicator-datetime-preferences' is currently not installed. You
can install it by typing:
sudo apt-get install indicator-datetime

even a --reinstall doesn't give me /usr/bin/indicator-datetime-preferences,
which it seems like it should from this:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/amd64/indicator-datetime/filelist

but the binary definitely seems to be missing from the .deb:

$ dpkg -c /var/cache/apt/archives/indicator-datetime_0.2.91-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb
| grep preferences
-rw-r--r-- root/root       393 2011-07-12 14:20
./usr/share/applications/indicator-datetime-preferences.desktop
$

What gives? ;)
