hi is it possible to know exactly how i could port this to ubuntu /xubuntu actually i am curious as to why this was never fixed as it hinders hardware functionality witch is way more important than "flashy things" if you want someone to dedicate to this i would be more than willing the big problem is i do not have any knowledge / info on these controllers neither the PATA nor the AHCI drivers for Marvell properly support this controller but the old one from asus did work ! you just needed to compile it ... with a new kernel ... the bug is still present in the latest version BTW . and has been reported by many , many , many ... users in fact the entire asus workstation series of motherboards may actually be hindered by this .
