Stl, whilst unetbootin is pretty good, it does sometimes have issues. The people at pendrivelinux have a new 'toy' for us to play with. I've used their stuff in the past and it has always been good. I will try to get time over the w/end to see if I can recreate your problem with unetbootin. I'm not too sure how much help it will be, as I'm on 9.10 at present!
