My ATA controller is SIS. Is only ATA, I don't have SATA.

Please, do you know if Ubuntu developers are working on on these bugs?
I love Ubuntu since version 5.10, but can't continue if can't boot the new 
version.
On the same computer (in other partitions) I have Ubuntu 6.10, Fedora 6 and 
RedHat ES 4.
Fedore 6 also have kernel 2.6.20.

Can you help me, or at least say to forget Ubuntu ? (at least for the
current computer).
