I've just discovered that when connected to my wireless LAN, my Android
phone is unable to connect using it's 'talk' (Google Talk) program.
This leads me to suspect that the browser-based talk session connects in
a different way to these chat clients. I may have a firewall
configuration issue with my modem/router.

Having said that, it would be very helpful if empathy:
1. Eventually timed out
2. Gave the user a helpful error message, or told them where to look at a log.

Right now empathy just keeps trying with no user feedback whatever.

I'll try to find the resolution to the problem, but I still consider
this a bug.
