Sorry, for the delay, i spend the last days trying to reproduce the problem. There are some information i have found:
1) the problem has nothing to do with the kernel 2) the problem occurs randomly after i reboot the system. That was the reason i first got the impression, that the kernel version has something to do with this 3) the problem occurs at the time when portmap is checking for valid local hosts. This happens in the good_client function in pmap_check.c if i patch portmap so that it always returns true everything is fine 4) i can reproduce the problem if i bring up and down network devices on a running system 5) stopping portmap and starting it again solves the problem. (restart does not help) My conclusion is, that there is a Problem while upstarting portmap. This would explain, why rebooting the systems sometimes help, and sometimes it does not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/812166 Title: connect to nfs-Server fails with 2.6.32-33-Kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/812166/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
