Public bug reported:

indicator-sound and indicator-datetime, the only two official indicators
to use gsettings in Oneiric (so far) store their settings in two
different locations.

schema id="com.canonical.indicators.sound" path="/apps/indicators/sound/"
schema id="com.canonical.indicator.datetime"
path="/com/canonical/indicator/datetime/"

For comparison, this is how Gnome Shell extensions are stored:
schema path="/org/gnome/shell/extensions/user-theme/"
id="org.gnome.shell.extensions.user-theme"

I suggest that indicator sound could use
schema id="com.canonical.indicators.sound"
path="/com/canonical/indicators/sound/"

And then indicator-datetime would just need to change "indicator" to
"indicators" in its schema location.
