This can be the result of bug #813755. To see if this is the cause enter this command in a terminal:
ps aux | fgrep gnome-keyring-daemon If the gnome-keyring-daemon is not running there is a circumvention in the above bug: sudo setcap CAP_IPC_LOCK=ep /usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon Then logout and login and check to see if the gnome-keyring-daemon is running.
