Public bug reported: Hi Everyone,
Following Rudolf Vavruch' bug report #55352 from Dapper, I'd like this bug re-opened. I've installed Feisty and everything works just fine - except for my Canon LBP-2900 printer. I tried following instructions as they appear here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Canon_LBP_2900_HowTo , But I lost myself. and before you RTFM me, I must admit - I'm no script boy. I tried installing alien and so on - but when it comes to replacing ccpd with a new script - that's too much for me... And since I think the average daily user won't even get that far, I think the driver issue for that printer model - and several other similar Canon models - should be answered by the development team. I don't believe the average user should be messing with "black boxes".
