I installed apport and booted from the current kernel, but since this meant connections to the internet had a lifetime measured in seconds, apport was unable to connect to launchpad long enough not to error out. I made several attempts to run apport-collect 799290 at the moment a connection was established, but the connection would not even stay up long enough for a browser window to open.
Is there any way to collect the information apport needs while running the older kernel, then reboot and run apport off-line, reporting to a log file, and finally reboot again with the good kernel to send the report? I only have apport itself installed, not the apport-gtk interface. > Date: Tue, 19 Jul 2011 00:50:45 +0000 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Bug 799290] Missing required logs. > > This bug is missing log files that will aid in dianosing the problem. > >From a terminal window please run: > > apport-collect 799290 > > and then change the status of the bug back to 'New'. > > If, due to the nature of the issue you have encountered, you are unable > to run this command, please add a comment stating that fact and change > the bug status to 'Confirmed'. > > This change has been made by an automated script, maintained by the > Ubuntu Kernel Team. > > ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) > Status: New => Incomplete > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug > report. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799290 > > Title: > wireless repeatedly connects and disconnects with kernel 3.0 > > To manage notifications about this bug go to: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/799290/+subscriptions -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799290 Title: wireless repeatedly connects and disconnects with kernel 3.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/799290/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
