Yes, I'm pretty certain this is a duplicate of bug #168914, and it
should already be fixed in Ubuntu Oneiric. In the meantime, you could
try installing the latest development version of the libgc package.
I'll mark this as a duplicate, but please feel free to revert the change
if you find that the bug can be reproduced when libgc >= 7.1 is
installed.
