Hi at all. Unfortunately I have not yet completely finished configuring my Ubuntu home server to replicate your setup and make accurate tests. Conducting research in google, though, I have found many differences about the cifs module works. It seems that not all people which use cifs module have slow transfer. The same kernel documentation mentions how to implement the speed of the cifs module playing with the parameters I have described in my post of 07/15/2001. I ask you to have a little patience so that I end my local network configuration for testing about the bug. Thanks at all for your posts and testing.
