Binary package hint: beryl-core
I have an older maching running a PIII 800 Mhz. (I know, I'm pushing my
luck, but it's a great selling point for people thinking of using Vista)
with 512 meg, nvidia 6200 128meg, 250 gig WD drive.
I dropped into terminal with f6 and returned to a black screen with just
a mouse cursor. There were items on the desktop since the mouse was
responsive and would change when I rolled over different places.
I Ctrl-Alt-Bked and restarted, but no luck. I had to shut down
completely and reboot. All seems well now.

I dropped to a terminal via f6 and when I returned, I had a black screen with a
mouse pointer, but nothing else. It required a full reboot to get back up.
