I have a good idea what has happened here. I've just created a document where I 
needed to reduce the file size, so I reduced the pics to 1200dpi. It printed 
with the correct colours!
Previously I just let ghostscript render the picture (straight from the camera 
(7Mpixel)) to 600dpi for printing. It seem that gs can't cope with this large 
adjustment and messes up the colours.
