I agreed with Peter... I also believe that the issues described here are different from Bug # 90902.
I was able to get my WG511v1 to finally connect wirelessly with WPA using the guidance found in the following Bug Report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105858 although it's only a temporary solution for now.
