I can confirm this bug on a fresh feisty installation on an Athlon 64 3200+ (but i386 installation) system that is otherwise fast enough. Although I have to press the key very quickly. It happens with real directories anywhere on a normal ext3 file system, both using icon and list view. In addition to the window title bar and the location bar, also the status bar, the toolbar (go-up button disabled on root directory), and the side pane (information and tree view) reflect the state of having gone up only one level when the main view has gone up two.
