I have a Core2Duo E6600 CPU (running at ~3.1Ghz rather than the default
2.4)
According to the Gnome CPU speed applets the speed of the cores only
varies from 600-900mhz and looking at
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies seems
to confirm this.
