Thanks for the video.  Very helpful in understanding the problem!  Seems
like a problem with the window manager.  Run the following commands and
see which one produces output.  That will tell us which window manager
you use.

ps -e | grep compiz

ps -e | grep unity

ps -e | grep metacity
---
