I have a dv1000 (HP laptop) with a 855GM (see log). Connected to the VGA output
is a HD read TV accepting 1360*768 at 60Hz. Everything works fine, the desktop
is at 1360*768, so that the LFP is too small (its native reso is 1280*768), BTW
it does not pan.
But if I try to switch to 1280*768 the box freezes: hard lock it seems (I did
not try to login remotely but at least no more kbd leds blinking). The lgo is
attached.
This is on feisty.
