This is defiantly a known problem across the Ubuntu community. I'm very
frustrated with the fact that this bug has been known since 2008 and
still has not been resolved. I wish there was something I could do to
assist in resolving this problem, but unfortunately I am unaware of what
could be causing this. My transfer speeds begin at 60-80/mps and quickly
decrease to about 3/mps. Not to mention when reaching 99% after waiting
sometimes up to an hour, it gets hung up. I love using Ubuntu and
enjoying the freedom to do what I please, but this seems to be a major
problem that I run into on a very frequent basis.
