It took me a lot of time to find out the problem. I am really tired now (no sleep), thought my system was defect, reformatting and setting up system again and again. :( You have added a new function: --always-ask-pass (line 408, /usr/share/pycentral/gdebi/site-packages/GDebi/GDebi.py) without to inform user about it, it is even not documented in: $ gdebi --help or in $ man gdebi Keep the good work, but please have a minute to add some info line about it.
