The provided patch seems incomplete to me. The changed lines only seem
to effect any testing, not the build. Though I could see that my own
testbuilds were not linking against libbfd, but that turned out to be
because HAVE_CPLUS_DEMANGLE is defined. Which actually may be an
alternate solution (to modify the builddeps of the kernel package).

Anyway, for a starter, this is the modified Oneiric patch.
