Even your EEEPC has integrated usb 3.0, but your camera still works with usb 2.0 mode, and it is still the ehci hcd to drive your camera.
Could you collect some usbmon(see Documentation/usb/usbmon.txt for reference) info to help troubleshoot the problem?
