Hi,

I have studied your proposition (with libnotify) but I think it isn't
possible cause Sbackupd is launched by the root . To get a notification,
it seems that one has to launch a Gnome session under its ID (which is
never the case ) .  Anyway I think that is to be classify as a wishlist
. And we'll be workin on that for a new version .

But what worries me the most is that  after you killed sbackupd the lock
file remains and prevent you to relaunch . But that lockfile isn't valid
anymore ...
