Confirming. Thanks for finally fixing this. As the bug reporter, I confirm that it's fixed. I now have a plain link (a href="") where I can do "Copy Link Location", and paste the URL in a terminal for wget/curl, and thus download on a different machine or with a different download program.
era, working without JavaScript would be nice, but implies a page reload. This is significantly slower. The current solution is very nice to those with JavaScript. It would be good to have such a fallback mode, in case JavaScript is known to be disabled. But that would be a different bug. The point here was that you're on the Ubuntu download page using a full desktop with Firefox and JavaScript, and want to download on a different machine. That is now possible and easy.
